The U.S. Greenguard Environmental Institute aims to protect human health and improve quality of life by enhancing indoor air quality and reducing people’s exposure to chemicals and other pollutants. Simply put, U.S. Greenguard Certification ensures that a product is low-emitting.
US Greenguard Certification
U.S. Greenguard Certification is broadly recognized and accepted by sustainable building programs and building codes worldwide.
Products carrying the U.S. Greenguard mark have been independently tested and re-tested to demonstrate that they meet U.S. Greenguard’s rigorous third-party chemical emissions standards. U.S. Greenguard standards are based on established emission criteria used by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the State of California, Germany’s Blue Angel Program and reputable public health agencies.
